Jr. John Bet-A-Million Gates was born and raised in Tuner prior to his fame and fortune as the founder of Texaco Oil. When he died his fortune went to his wife’s family, the Bakers, which funded many projects in St. Charles. Come learn about Gates’ life and why he so outwardedly shunned his hometown.
