Bet-A-Million Gates, West Chicago's Man of American Industry
Join WeGo History on Wednesday, May 13th at 6:30 pm at the Fox Community Center, 306 Main STreet, for a presentation and Q&A with author Archie Benz. Jr. John Bet-A-Million Gates was born and raised in Tuner prior to his fame and fortune as the founder of Texaco Oil. When he died his fortune went to his wife’s family, the Bakers, which funded many projects in St. Charles. Come learn about Gates’ life and why he so outwardedly shunned his hometown. This program is free and open to all, light refreshments will be served.

German Christmas Tree Trimming Fundraiser
Have you ever wanted to party in the Kruse House Museum? Well now is your chance! Join us for our first ever German Christmas Tree Trimming Fundraiser on Wednesday, December 6th at 6:00pm and 7:30pm. The one hour time slots will offer tickets to the public for $25 a person to join the Kruse House Museum board in decorating our Kruse House Tree, trying their hand at German paper holiday crafts and creating historic Christmas decorations. Appetizers and holiday spirits will be served.
