28th Annual Tales Tombstones Tell Cemetery Walk

City Museum celebrates 28th Annual Cemetery Walk at a NEW location with a NEW time

On Saturday, October 7th, the City Museum will present the 28th annual Tales Tombstones Tell at Calvary Cemetery, located on Geneva Road, just east of Route 59/Neltnor.  Tours begin at 10:00 am and start off every 10 minutes thereafter, with the last tour starting at 11:15 am.  Tours last approximately 45 minutes and no reservations are necessary. If the weather is inclement the program is cancelled.

Guests will entertained by historic music from Roger Kotecki as they wait to start to the tour. The program is appropriate for families and is based on our community’s history.  This year we will feature Police Chief Joe Buenrostro, Catherine “Katie” Carey, Father Thomas Gaffney, Casper Kline, Emma McCabe, Fred Marx, John Tye and Officer Ray Wilson.

Come join us for this impactful morning stroll through West Chicago’s history.  Although the program is free, donations are appreciated. Refreshments following the walk will be sponsored by and hosted at FNBC Bank.  For more information please call the Museum at (630) 231-3376 or email us at museum@westchicago.org.
